Brandon Knight

It’s no secret that the Phoenix Suns are in a rebuilding phase of their franchise, like the Nuggets. An important question to ask ourselves is, can these two teams help each other in a trade?

Something that Denver needs is another back-up guard, somebody who could help young players like Emmanuel Mudiay and Gary Harris coming off of the bench. The player that comes to mind when I think of this is Brandon Knight, a guard who can play both shooting and point guard. So who would we give up to possibly land Knight?

This trade would work for both teams in that they fill holes in their respective rosters. The Suns’ weakest position is their small forward position, and they would be receiving a veteran small forward in Gallinari.

This wouldn’t be a problem for the Nuggets because Wilson Chandler could step in Gallo’s place. Jameer Nelson would give the Suns some veteran leadership, something that is very little in Phoenix. If Denver was able to get Knight, then the veteran Nelson wouldn’t have as much of a roster spot anymore either. The Nuggets could get their guard in Brandon Knight, while also receiving a good three-point shooter in P.J. Tucker.

He could come off the bench in the small forward position.
