San Antonio Continually Adjusts – Knowing Your Strengths and Weaknesses

It is rare or never happens that the Spurs get scored on the same way two possessions in a row.

They know how to use their strengths and compensate for their weaknesses, both as individual players and as a team.

They don’t set as many screens as Golden State because they base their offense on match-ups and careful shots. Each player knows his capabilities and does not waste energy.

I don’t know how this is taught except by experience, determination, understanding, and actually practicing this perfect art when playing.

We used to run teams out of our mile high gym with our offense. Regardless of defense, we outscored the opposition.

Don’t stop playing defense as primary, but know that our strength is our shooting and running and rebounding.
