The Clippers and the Thunder want Wilson Chandler on their teams.

Wilson Chandler could benefit many NBA teams. For the Thunder and Clippers, they seem to believe that he could get be the difference in winning a playoff series, or losing one.

Both of these teams are in need of a solid stretch small forward and Chandler fits that bill. He is one of the most versatile players for the Nuggets as he can do everything from defend, shoot the 3, rebound, and attack the paint.

Timothy Rapp of Bleacher Report had a piece detailing how Adrian Wojnarowski and Chris Mannix of The Vertical heard of the news. Apparently, Wojnarowski questioned the team’s abilities to come to an agreement with Denver due to their lack of assets.

Rapp stated in his featured article “The Thunder have their first-round picks this year and in 2019, though the team owes the Utah Jazz a lottery-protected first-rounder in 2018 and a top-20 protected pick to the Philadelphia 76ers in 2020, according to RealGM.com.”

It makes sense that both of these squads are catering for Wilson Chandler’s services. Both are in desperate need of a consistent wing presence and Chandler, having one of the best seasons of his career, could find a ton of success with them. In his 10th season in the league, he is currently averaging a career high in points per game at 15.6 and has a player impact estimate of 9.9.

Chandler also is averaging an offensive rating of 115.3 in wins this season and shot a true shooting percentage of 56.7% in the month of January.

The Thunder have had a huge void at the small forward spot ever since Kevin Durant back stabbed them and the Clippers have been needing a versatile wing player for many years now.
