Beasley is being sent down for a D-League stint once again.
The Denver Nuggets Malik Beasley has been assigned to the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Beasley, one of the rookies on the team, has had a very limited role on the Nuggets so far this season.
As a result, he has only been able to show minor sings of his brilliance, but he is effective when he does get in for playing time. However, in his last two stints with the Skyforce, Beasley has flashed his potential putting up very efficient numbers. He has averaged 18.5 points per game while with the Skyforce and has averaged 5 rebounds per game as well.
He even possesses a true shooting percentage of 57% and has an offensive rating of 106 with a player efficiency rating of 18.3. He even is averaging 24 points per 36 minutes to go along with an effective field goal percentage of 50%. He even is a terrific free throw shooter as he averages 90% from the charity stripe for the Skyforce.

Denver Nuggets
It is a bit odd to see the Nuggets continually sending one of their bright young talents to the D-League and then bringing him back, but the positive is that he gets the necessary playing time. This aids in developing him and keeping him from regressing which means that Denver could utilize him in the future with their young core.
The Nuggets have an exciting group of young talent and Malik Beasley is part of that group. In the future, it will be great to see guys like Murray, Jokic, Harris, and possibly Mudiay growing and fulfilling their potential. Add Beasley into that group, then suddenly the Nuggets will be the most exciting young team in the entire NBA.
Hopefully the D-League will benefit the young Malik Beasley as it is still puzzling to see the Nuggets not play him as much as he truly deserves. The kid seems to have a great relationship with Jamal Murray and it would be great to see him develop alongside his rookie counterparts in Murray and Hernangomez.
Denver will probably call Beasley back up in a week or two, but until then, let’s hope he kills it for the Skyforce.
