With Gary Harris on fire lately, the Denver Nuggets have a chance to formulate a great back-court for the future.

It is no secret that Gary Harris has been the best player for the Denver Nuggets since the All-Star Break. He has strung together a trio of magnificent games where he was a difference maker.

He has been stellar on offense, but he is still maintaining his dominance on the defensive end at the same time. If Harris keeps this up on a consistent basis, then the Nuggets may have the chance to form something special.

Jameer Nelson is not going to last forever and Emmanuel Mudiay’s future seems uncertain, so it looks as if Denver is grooming Jamal Murray to be their point guard of the future. With Murray developing nicely, the Nuggets have the potential to have one of the best back-courts in the league in the next few years.

With a little bit of polishing to his game and improved defense, Jamal Murray has the potential to be franchise corner piece for this team. Not to mention, a Harris and Murray in their prime would form one of the deadliest one-two punches throughout the entire NBA.

Murray providing a spark with his great shooting and ability to create on offense. Couple that with Harris’ defensive tenacity and refined offensive play. Can you imagine it? The mere thought of it makes me want to make a spur of the moment decision to fly down to Denver and purchase a ticket for a Nuggets game.

There is a reason Gary Harris reminds many fans of Jimmy Butler and people say that Jamal Murray has a Steph Curry-like potential. If these guys live up to this type of hype, then the opposition really needs to watch out.

That is a back-court that many guards throughout the league would dread playing as soon as they see Denver on their schedule.

With that in mind, the Nuggets need to play their cards right to develop this potentially great back-court.
