Nuggets Put Lakers to Bed on TNT
By Mike Wilson
Looking at the Nuggets
Who was quiet this game was Jameer Nelson, who had zero points through nearly the first three quarters of the game. To his credit – Jameer has gone on a quiet, consistent, non selfish, non asinine, yet shooting high from the three point line streak that I want to personally commend and apologize for. Jameer – I mostly apologize about how I have been speaking about you. Standing golf clap for you, sir. Tip of the cap. Well done. Keep it up.
Denver Nuggets
In Summation
The Nuggets beat the Lakers by 28 points in a thorough spanking tonight at the Pepsi Center; 129-101. The bench got to see quite a few minutes tonight and my new favorite thing to watch is aggressive Jamal Murray. That kid, IS NOT, afraid to dunk the ball over people. You can just see it in his eyes looking down the court. Takes two stutter steps, and TOMAHAWKS that thing back, and BAM!!! Altitudes play by play guy co-announcer, Scott Hastings, said it best “Jamal plays so hard EVERY PLAY…it’s not going to be too long before his opponents start hating him.”
Kid goes hard on EVERY play that you play against him. Even teammates start to hate on that kind of player. Think Mark Whalberg in the Disney movie where he was a walk on for the Eagles. Not everyone appreciates effort. Why other players hated on Tebow (beyond him just sucking) .
Well see if that plot line ever ends up having an impact down the golden rode the Nuggets are on with this team.
PS – Nuggets finish the game with seven players in double digits. SEVEN.
Name a more unselfish, potent team in the NBA right now. I’ll wait.
