Defense needs to be a priority

I think it is clear that the Nuggets need to focus on the defensive side of the court.

We already have a ton of offensive firepower, so it becomes a question of which free agent could bolster their defensive efforts in the long run. With that in mind, I am sticking with Paul Millsap.

I know he is getting older, but he would provide some valuable rim protection and pair perfectly with Nikola Jokic down low.

He would finally bring some star power to Denver and create a dynamic star duo with Jokic.

As a result, it would make the Mile High an attractive destination for other free agents.

If not, then some quality defensive role players like James Johnson or Nerlens Noel could also be key for the Nuggets.
