Nikola Jokic had a very impressive player impact estimate this season.

The league was put on notice this season when Nikola Jokic emerged as Denver’s star with his crafty play. He was the first player to get a triple double in a Nuggets jersey since Andre Igoudala did quite a while ago.

If one looks at his statistics, they will be extremely impressed. The one analytic that jumps out at me is his 16.7 player impact estimate or P.I.E. For those who are wondering, P.I.E. is a stat that determines a player’s impact in each game they play. It also weeds out statistical biases.

With that in mind, Jokic possessing a 16.7 P.I.E. is very impressive. If one is still not impressed, then consider this. His P.I.E. is higher than Draymond Green’s (11.7), Paul George (13.6) and LaMarcus Aldridge (12.2). There are three stars right there that Jokic is ahead of in this particular category.

He probably is ahead of some other stars as well, but I think the point has been proven. Not to mention, he is also rivaling LeBron James’ P.I.E. of 18.3 and James Harden’s of 19. This goes to show just how well refined Nikola Jokic is already. The scary part is that he is only going to get better, especially with how young he is.

Granted, this is only one statistical category, but it is still an important one to take into consideration. His P.I.E. being higher than some of the league’s stars shows just how much of an impact he brought to the young Denver Nuggets’ squad this year.

The funny thing is, at the rate the Joker is improving, his player P.I.E. will most likely continue to soar in the near future. With the impact he brings, he will be in the company of the elite stars very soon. All stats were verified via NBA.com.
