While Hayward would be a nice free agent commodity, do not expect the Nuggets to be lucky enough to get him in a Denver jersey.

I will admit, I am one of the many people who would love to see Gordon Hayward in a Nuggets jersey if Gallinari does in fact, leave.

A couple of months ago, I would have told you that I liked our chances of securing the Utah star in free agency. Now, however, I would have to say the chances are minuscule. With the way the Jazz progressed this year, it will be difficult for him leave an environment with that type of upside.

Plus, you can be sure the Jazz will do everything in their power to re sign him. There is also another team out there that Hayward would be tailor made for and sadly, they are more intriguing of a destination for him than Denver would be.

That would be the Boston Celtics.  Boston is just one more key piece away from being a contender in the East ( I know they made the conference finals this season, but we all knew Cleveland was going to be too much.) A line up consisting of Isiah Thomas, Al Horford and Gordon Hayward would be an interesting match up for LeBron and the Cavaliers.

With all of that in mind, it would be nearly impossible for the Nuggets to lure Hayward to the Mile High with all of these factors present.

Denver is also a team on the rise, but Hayward will most likely want to go to a team who is in a position to win now.
