The Denver Nuggets are ready to get started in Las Vegas Summer League and have a bunch of young talent to showcase. Here’s who you should keep an eye on.

The Denver Nuggets are back in action on Friday night as they’ll face the Houston Rockets at 10:00 PM ET on NBA TV in their first Las Vegas Summer League game. The Las Vegas Summer League consists of 24 NBA teams and is by far the largest of the three different summer league venues.

Summer league gives fans the chance to see some new faces in a Nuggets jersey and see how the rookies of last year have improved. The Nuggets have 14 players on this year’s roster and we are going to highlight the five who may have the biggest impact on the teams summer league success.

Point guard Monte Morris

The Iowa State product is sure to have an impact on the team as he will more than likely be the guy running the show for the Denver’s offense. Morris was one of the Nuggets’ second-round drafts picks in this years draft and is a guy the organization was happy to see fall to them in the second round. Morris is a traditional point guard who loves to get his teammates involved when he is on the court.

Morris posted the best assist to turnover ratio in college basketball last season at 5.17. He had 217 assists on the season and only 42 turnovers. Look for Morris to try and challenge one of the Nuggets three point guards on the roster for a spot this coming season.
