If you expected me to say that another team would lead the West, I’m sorry to disappoint you

This Golden State team is the best team that the NBA has seen in a long time. I mean, this team went through the 2017 playoffs only losing one game. In four series, each consisting of a best-of-seven, they lost one game. Take that and add the fact that they kept their core together, along with their key bench players, and they could be more dangerous than before. They also added even more shooting with Nick Young and Omri Casspi on cheap deals.

Golden State starting lineup:

PG: Stephen Curry

SG: Klay Thompson

SF: Kevin Durant

PF: Draymond Green

C: Zaza Pachulia*

* I think that Zaza could be replaced at the starting position before the season begins or even during.

I know that a lot of Nuggets fans do not like the Warriors. Well, most of the NBA doesn’t. I have to say that I am not one of those people. Is it always fun watching this team dominate? Of course not, but that only makes it sweeter when the team loses. I remember when the Nuggets beat the Warriors in a blowout at the Pepsi Center last year. Nuggets fans were going nuts on Twitter, and that just doesn’t happen for a mediocre team.

Sorry for getting side-tracked, but the Warriors did nothing but improve this offseason. They re-signed their core and bench (Kevin Durant took a helpful pay cut), and traded for a young rookie named Jordan Bell. Bell was a great, versatile defensive player out of Oregon, and could play big minutes for the Dubs early.

There’s not much I could say about this team’s weaknesses, if there are any. They move the ball well, play stellar defense, and SCORE THE BASKETBALL.
