As a result, there are many opportunities which lie ahead pitting them against each other. With the way they have developed so far for their respective teams, do not be surprised to see some heated competition in the coming years between the two players.
Both Jokic and Towns have the capability to shift the momentum of a game single handedly and when they are matched up with each other, buckle up. Prepare yourselves for some great basketball because these two are only going to get better from here on out.
Towns is a better rim protector and defensive player overall than Jokic, but Jokic still has a ton of potential in himself and could surprise many fans now that Denver has a star in Paul Millsap to mentor him. Suddenly, the Timberwolves vs Nuggets rivalry is a lot more interesting.
Not just because of Minnesota adding Jimmy Butler and Denver adding Paul Millsap, but also because both teams have a star center who will be dueling with each other for supremacy in the Northwest division for more years to come.
Whether Jokic or Towns is better is beside the point. The point is that the NBA better watch out for both players and fans will have a treat for the next couple of years.
