Gary Harris

Harris is entering his fourth year in the league, and each year Nuggets fans have seen great growth out of the Michigan State guard. Harris finds himself at number 90 in the countdown, and if Nuggets fans had it there way he would be much higher.

There is no denying the importance of Harris to Denver’s offense. He finds space on the floor where there shouldn’t be and his cutting ability is unmatched. Harris has been the recipient of numerous Jokic dimes, and has found a nice spot for himself in the Denver rotation.

The 23 year-old saw career highs across the board last season, and is poised to become one of the best two-way guards in the league. Harris is getting the recognition he deserves although you could argue he should be even higher in the rankings. His 50.2 field goal percentage was best in the league among shooting guards last season. He can also shoot it well from outside, stroking it at a 42% clip from behind the arc. Harris should see his numbers increase once again as he is only 23 years old, and getting close to the start of his prime.

Player I am surprised he is ahead of: Dion Waiters (98) (both he and Harris should be much higher)

Player I am surprised he is behind: Nikola Mirotic (88)

ESPN seemed to be fair to the Nuggets. No one from Denver was left off the list and the rankings given to both Jokic and Millsap were fair. However Harris could have received a more generous ranking. Hopefully Harris and the Nuggets that were left off the list use this as motivation to put Denver on the map as an elite team in the west this season.

Take everything with a grain of salt. This is the same list that ranked Carmelo Anthony 64th in the league, right behind Lakers ROOKIE Lonzo Ball.
