1st Place: The Minnesota Timberwolves

These teams are rivals but may not know it yet. These teams were bad together, rebuilt at the same time, and both brought in all-stars to bring their teams to the next level this season. The Nuggets, Timberwolves rivalry starts now.

Karl-Anthony Towns was in the same rookie class as Nikola Jokic and Emmanuel Mudiay. These teams have had close games displaying some of the NBA’s best young talent over the past couple of years. The difference now is that the games matter.

It’s likely that both of these teams are playoff bound this year and for years to come. Finishing their rebuilds the same year, it’s time to see which franchise is for real. Jokic and Towns both have potential to be the best big man in the game for years to come.

The whole nation will want to tune in to watch these big men battle. Adding Millsap and Butler into the mix only adds interest.

This rivalry has potential to be more than a couple teams that dislike one another. There is potential for two teams to contend with one another in playoffs year after year. Minnesota would make the greatest rival for the Nuggets.
