Nuggets Fall Short Against Pacers

The Nuggets visited the Pacers tonight on their fourth game on this six game road trip. Instead of they win they were hoping to find, they had a rough OT loss.

Nuggets vs. Pacers

Denver started off hot tonight–finishing the first quarter off 35-22 over the Pacers. At the half, Denver led Indiana 66-59. Coming into the third, the Pacers came out to win and finished the quarter 31-22 over the Nuggets. The Nuggets and Pacers closed out the fourth with 114 a piece. The Nuggets found themselves going into overtime, quickly losing steam as the Pacers outscored them 12-2 for a final score of 126-116.

Trey Lyles came off of the bench to be the high scorer for Denver with 25 points and 5 rebounds. Will Barton and Gary Harris had 21 points a piece for Denver. Barton also had 6 rebounds and 9 assists while Harris had 5 rebounds and 2 assists. Wilson Chandler also contributed 18 points and 8 rebounds in his 27 minutes.

Myles Turner led the Pacers with 24 points, 8 rebounds, and 3 assists in his 41 minutes on the floor.

The Nuggets shot 45.3% from the field and 40.5% from beyond the three-point line. Denver was able to shoot 76.3% from the free throw line. Denver was able to grab 47 rebounds and pass off 24 assists.

The Pacers shot 52.7% from the field and 40% from beyond the arc. Indiana was 81.8% from the charity stripe. The Pacers had 40 rebounds and also had 24 assists.

Denver is still second to the Timberwolves in the Northwestern Division with 14 wins and 12 losses on the season. We lead the Trail Blazers by 1.5 games.

The Nuggets will travel to Detroit to face the Pistons on Tuesday night with tip-off being at 5 pm MST.
