FanSided and Sports Illustrated recently released the fandom top 250 list and the Denver Nuggets fan base was dissed by being left off the list.

The Denver Nuggets have one of the most loyal fan bases in the entire league. Not just the NBA, but the entire nation when it comes to North American sports.

However, the fandom top 250 blatantly disrespected the terrific fans of Nuggets Nation. Why did we deserve a spot in the top 250?

Well, for starters, we have very few bandwagon fans compared to a fan base like the Warriors or the Cavaliers. Our fans have stuck it out through thick and thin and dealt with constant criticism of not having a single NBA title from other trash talking fans. However, that doesn’t let our loyalty waver. We love our team no matter what whether we go 82-0 or 0-82.

When the team is good, the Pepsi Center is one of the toughest places to play in the NBA. The energetic crowd coupled with the altitude creates an environment where even the better teams have to work extremely hard for a win. The fans may not get as rowdy as the Broncos fan, but they still make it very hard for the opposition to compete in the Mile High.

Not to mention, we love our players. We take it very hard when one of them leaves and/or is traded to another team. Us Nuggets fans share a connection with our players like no other team in the league does. The fact that this list doesn’t include our respective fan base should be taken as a slap in the face to every die hard loyal Nuggets fan around.

So, what can you do? Make your presence even more felt this year so we make the list next year.

Next: Denver finds silver lining

Don’t be afraid to let your blue and gold colors show and show why we are the best fan base in the entire NBA!
