The Denver Nuggets have not gotten the media coverage they deserve despite being a better team this year.

The Denver Nuggets have never had a big market. When it comes to competing with markets like Los Angeles, New York or Boston, they will never be in the same league. However, they still deserve a fair share of media time.

Put bluntly, the media still continues to screw Denver over in terms of media coverage this season. One would think getting a star in Paul Millsap to couple with Nikola Jokic would make the media salivate at covering this team. Don’t get me wrong, Denver has already gotten a lot more nationally televised games this season than they did last year, but they deserve more.

It makes no sense when ESPN decides to shove the Lakers, who are a terrible team in a rebuild process right now by the way, down the viewers throat for what seems to be the billionth time this year. Or, when the Nuggets defeat the defending champs and all they show is Golden State highlights and only talk about how the Warriors struggled and not how good of a game the Nuggets played.

And, let’s not forget about NBA TV either, who is guilty of pulling a Nuggets televised game from their schedule and not even replacing them with what they believe to be a far more interesting game! Yes, they simply scrapped a Denver game this year.

While it is about the ratings and money, Denver still deserves a fair shot at getting covered and shown to the national fan base. Something must be done.

Nuggets fans are sick of being overlooked and it is time for ESPN and NBA TV to stop showing terrible teams over us simply because their markets are larger than Denver’s.
