The Denver Nuggets will battle the Sacramento Kings on the road after an impressive win over the Jazz.

The Denver Nuggets are coming off a win which saw them erupt for a 38 point third quarter. Behind the terrific play of Trey Lyles and Jamal Murray, they were able to split the season series with the Utah Jazz.

Now, they hit the road to take on the Sacramento Kings who can be pests on their home floor. While the Kings are still not a playoff team, they cannot be overlooked.

They have combined an intriguing mix of veteran talent with youth to make this team formidable at home. They had a terrific draft this past summer which resulted in them snagging D’Aaron Fox, but then also added Zach Randolph and Vince Carter in free agency. As a result, this team can no longer be overlooked like they have been in the past seasons.

The Nuggets have had their fair share of success against the Kings this year, which means Sacramento will be looking to come out aggressive to defeat Denver for the first time. Denver is on the back end of a back to back and will be on the road, so the Kings will have an advantage from this perspective.

After Nikola Jokic struggled in the win over Utah, look for him to come out with something to prove and potentially have a bounce back game. Not to mention, the back court for the Nuggets has been playing on a whole different level lately, so the Kings may focus their defensive efforts on containing Gary Harris and Jamal Murray.

Denver cannot get complacent against this Kings team, otherwise, they will get burned on the road. The Nuggets have to treat this game like a must win since they are in a good position to move up in the standings as of right now.
