The Denver Nuggets were made to look like a high school team against the San Antonio Spurs.

The Denver Nuggets were exhausted from the start of the tip off as they were out matched by the San Antonio Spurs. The whole team struggled whereas the Spurs looked like a well oiled machine.

The Spurs stars were great and even the role players were key for them in this loss the Nuggets took in San Antonio. Not to mention, the old former stars like Pau Gasol, Manu Ginobli and Tony Parker were effective as well and do not let their sub par stat lines fool you.

The Nuggets on the other hand had trouble finding production from anyone outside of Nikola Jokic and Gary Harris. Outside these two players, not a single Nuggets player was even able to crack double figures in the points category.

So, how well did the two key Nuggets play? Without further, adieu, let’s assign some player grades.

Nikola Jokic-A- Yes, he may have been a -18 on the floor, but he doesn’t have total control over that after the way the team played. He came very close to his second triple double of the year as he posted 23 points, seven assists and nine rebounds. Jokic also was an effective deep range threat as he shot 50% from the three point line. This made up for his 0 for 8 debacle in Atlanta the other night.

Gary Harris- B+- Harris was solid, but had some difficulty which is showcased in his 37.5% field goal percentage. This is the only reason he did not get an A grade like Jokic. He still did come away with two steals and was also able to knock down a couple of three point shots. Harris and Jokic were the only ones who showed up and looked interested in contributing in this terrible loss.
