The Denver Nuggets welcome the Phoenix Suns to the Pepsi Center.

The Denver Nuggets are hungry to get back on track after what transpired in the Staples Center the other night. They are now at the ninth spot in the West and they will certainly look to make a statement in this game against the rebuilding Suns.

However, there is one key they must take into consideration in order to defeat this young Phoenix squad. Containing Devin Booker will be essential in getting an early lead. Booker has quickly emerged as the Suns best player and pillar to build around for the future. He can get hot extremely quick which he has proven in the past, particularly a 70 plus point game last season.

Thankfully, Denver has a perimeter defender who is more than capable of containing the young sensation. Gary Harris will be the X factor and keeping Booker at bay and forcing the role players of the Suns to defeat the Nuggets.

If Booker gets going, especially from the three point line, it will give the Suns a punchers chance of getting an upset on the road. However, it will be easier said than done as Harris had a career game the last time these two squads faced each other. If he carries this momentum into this game, then Devin Booker and the Suns will be in a heap of trouble.

Booker will be the Suns X factor for this game, so it is imperative Denver focus their defensive efforts on the young shooting guard. If the Nuggets can successfully shut down Booker and force someone else to step up, then their chances of getting back in the win column will increase ten fold.
