The Nuggets are massively struggling right now and it may be time to shake things up by trading for Kemba Walker.

With news of Kemba Walker being put on the trade block, many NBA teams are now interested including the Denver Nuggets. While Jamal Murray is progressing nicely, there have been times this year where not having a true point guard has hurt this team.

Kemba Walker could easily solve this dilemma. While Kemba may be not be the biggest household name when it comes to point guards, he is still an All Star who could benefit a team in a great way.

Walker would be a great mentor for the young Jamal Murray and also form an underrated big three with Nikola Jokic and Paul Millsap. Now, landing the Connecticut sensation would be easier said than done. The Charlotte Hornets would most likely want quite a bit of pieces in return and rightfully so if they do part ways with their star point guard.

A trade consisting of Wilson Chandler, a pick or two and possibly even Kenneth Faried may do the trick. It would allow Denver to off load the struggling Wilson Chandler and trade Faried to a place where he can get some meaningful minutes. Plus, it also credits the Hornets with some key building blocks for the future.

The Nuggets can get back into the “win now,” mode while the Hornets look towards the future and figure out how to rebuild.

While many fans may think getting Walker into the Mile High is just a dream, keep in mind we have seen some crazy trades within the last year. The Pelicans were able to land Demarcus Cousins for very little and Sam Pressti got Paul George to Oklahoma City in what seemed like a major NBA robbery at the time.
