The trade deadline has come and gone and Kenneth Faried is still a fixture on the Nuggets’ bench.

The Denver Nuggets’, Kenneth Faried, is one of the best energy and hustle guys in the league. With the crowded front court Denver possesses, he has had a difficult time carving out meaningful minutes this season.

There have been a plethora of games where he hasn’t even played and many of them were losses the Nuggets could have used his energy. So, one would think Denver would try to get his contract off the books and trade him to a team where he would be valued and be able to showcase his talents to the fullest degree.

This did not happen and Kenneth Faried continues to molt on the bench and lose value. Coach, Michael Malone has done nothing to increase the power forward’s value this season. The trade deadline is gone for this season, but Malone could still find time for him, especially before Paul Millsap returns.

As a result, this could lure suitors for next year or even get other teams intrigued for a potential trade this coming summer. Leaving the Manimal on the bench does nothing for Faried’s value and only takes space on the bench for the Nuggets’ second unit. Why have him if Denver will not utilize him at all?

Malone and his rotations have been an issue of a debate all year long. While he has improved them a bit, Kenneth Faried is still suffering due to his stubbornness to go deep into his bench when needed.

If Malone continues to bury Faried in the lineup, Denver will fail to get decent value in return if they do find a way to trade the hustling power forward.
