As noted on the Altitude post-game commentary, the best thing to erase a loss to a team you should beat is a win against a team you shouldn’t.

I don’t know that the Cavaliers are considered a team the Nuggets shouldn’t beat.  That list in my opinion only contains the Houston Rockets.  The Rockets being the only team that can hang with the Nuggets scoring prowess.

The Nuggets prevailed 126-117.

This Denver squad can go deep into the bench and still have lights-out perimeter shooting.  Trey Lyles, Malik Beasley, Juancho, even Richard Jefferson can participate in Chris Marlowe’s proverbial “orgy of threes”.

The Nuggets had tied the NBA record for three-point shots made in a game with 24, twice in the past year.  The bar has since moved to 25, by the Cavaliers but the point remains that this Nuggets squad is a dangerous team from the perimeter.

The Nuggets poured in 19 threes en route to a fairly easy road victory over the defending Eastern Conference Champs.

Let’s take a look at a couple of takeaways from this game:
