Remember last week when Gary Harris had an awful game against the Houston Rockets?

Yeah, me either.

Gary has blown up over the last two games for 58 points on 21-for-35 shooting.  he is 7-for-15 from the three-point line and a perfect 9-for-9 from the free-throw line.  Add in five steals and a +17 (+/-) rating, the point could be made that Harris is carrying the Nuggets, this week.

Is Harris underrated?  Is he overrated?

He is the Nuggets leading scorer this season.  He is a highlight reel driving to the basket.  He’s made game-winners, he’s iced games.  He’s played outstanding defense on a who’s-who of NBA stars (see above mentioned LeBron James story).

Sometimes The Core is a unit, their performances less individual and more measured as a whole.  Sometimes, however, one of the Nuggets young stars steps out and distinguishes them self, individually.  It’s important that Murray, Harris and Jokic are seen as more than just a part of a group.  They, individually are outstanding.

At the end of the day, Harris may be the best of the three.  Or not, it varies game-over-game.  When Nikola was posting triple-doubles, it was him.  When Jamal blew up for 40, it was his turn.
