The Denver Nuggets were able to pull off an upset victory on the road over the Washington Wizards.

Despite a strong performance from Bradley Beal, the Denver Nuggets were able to weather the storm against the Washington Wizards.

Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray and Will Barton were extremely key in this win as they combined for a total of 73 points.

Jokic finished the game with a stat line of 25 points, eighth rebounds and eight assists.

Jamal Murray finished with 25 points to go along with a  six rebound total, impressive for someone playing the point guard position.

Will Barton had 23 crucial points on top of seven rebounds and three blocks. Not to mention, he actually had a strong fourth quarter, something which has been rare for him this season.

The Wizards were still able to put up a fight. They were down double digits at half time, but only lost by a total of eight points (108-100.) They were led by Bradley Beal who poured in 24 points on an efficient 50% field goal percentage.

Denver was clicking offensively tonight as they were getting their three point shots to drop for the second game in a row. The Nuggets shot 50% from down town, a very impressive three point percentage.

However, Washington shot the same percentage from deep which goes to show the Nuggets’ defense still has a lot of kinks to work out going forward.

Thanks to a little bit of luck and the Wizards having an off night and being without their star point guard in John Wall, the Nuggets were able to get a rare road win over a post season team.
