The Denver Nuggets will look to keep their post season hopes alive against the Washington Wizards.
The Denver Nuggets are in for a much tougher test than they were against the struggling Chicago Bulls. They will travel to Washington to battle the red hot Wizards.
Ever since John Wall returned to the lineup for Washington, they have looked like a much more dangerous team, one who could possibly give the Cavaliers a run for their money in a playoff series. However, that is a debate for another day.
The Nuggets’ front court of Nikola Jokic and Paul Millsap has to either match or out play the back court of John Wall and Bradley Beal. The outcome of this game is going to come down to which dynamic duo of stars shines the brightest.
The good thing Denver has going for them is Paul Millsap is coming off perhaps his best game of the year. In the match up with Chicago, he recorded an efficient 22 points to go along with five key steals. Hopefully, this was the game to jump start the four time All Star power forward. As far as Jokic is concerned, everyone at this point knows about his insane numbers he is capable of putting up on any given night.
On the other side, both Beal and Wall were All Stars this year. Not to mention, Denver may be without their best perimeter defender in Gary Harris. Even if he does return, he is going to be a bit rusty after rehabbing a sprained knee. Look for the guards of the Wizards to get going early and be freed up for open shots from hard screens for Washington’s big men.
