After a shocking road win over the Washington Wizards, the Denver Nuggets will continue their road stand as they battle the young, but up and coming Philadelphia 76ers.
The Denver Nuggets are on a rare two game win streak where they have pulled out victories on the road. This included a surprising win over a high powered Washington Wizards squad the other night.
However, it doesn’t get easier for the Nuggets from here on out if one looks at their schedule. They will travel to Philadelphia to take on the Joel Embiid led 76ers in another attempt to keep their slim playoff chances alive.
Denver has to be ready for anything, especially against the rookie sensation, Ben Simmons. Simmons is having one of the best rookie seasons the entire league has ever seen and is in a heated contest with Utah’s, Donovan Mitchell, for Rookie of the Year honors. Not to mention, he is in the same breath as Magic Johnson when it comes to tripled doubles recorded as a rookie. Do not think he will be looking to capitalize on this by taking advantage of a porous Denver Nuggets’ defense.
The good news for Denver is Paul Millsap should be healthy again. Do not forget, in their last match up, Millsap played with the flu, which really hindered his ability. He only posted two points as a result. Expect the power forward to be much more productive this time around.
This will be yet another must win for the Denver Nuggets who are clinging for their post season lives. Utah does not seem to be slowing down anytime soon, so the Nuggets will have to earn their way into the playoffs with a key winning streak to close out the regular season.
