The Denver Nuggets were able to hold on in another nail biter for their third straight win.
The Denver Nuggets’ post season hopes got a little bit brighter. When things looked like they were going to crumble, the Nuggets were able to showcase their resilience against the Indiana Pacers. Denver got their third straight win prevailing over Indiana by a final score of 107-104.
Nikola Jokic was the player of the game per usual as he led the way with 30 points, six rebounds and seven assists. Will Barton is such an up and down player, it leads to a love hate relationship with the fans. This game, it was love as he finished with 26 crucial points along with 10 rebounds notching him a double double.
The Nuggets had a well balanced offensive attack as their starting five finished with double figures in points. Despite Victor Oladipo going off for 25 points, Denver clawed and battled for their post season lives as they live for at least another day in the playoff chase.
Denver was able to control the glass as they grabbed 49 rebounds compared to Indiana’s 35. This was a major key to the victory.
The Nuggets looked as if they were in for another late game collapse. However, they were able to hold on for the close three point win. I think Nuggets fans have had at least ten years of their life span reduced within this last stretch of games. Two overtime wins and a three point win can be very stressful to say the least.
Denver now improves to 42 wins on the year. They will get prepared to host the division rival, Minnesota Timberwolves.
