Denver Nuggets vs. L.A. Clippers: Match up

DENVER, CO - FEBRUARY 27: Milos Teodosic
DENVER, CO - FEBRUARY 27: Milos Teodosic

The Denver Nuggets will take on the L.A. Clippers in Los Angeles and the match up to watch will be the point guard battle.

The Denver Nuggets’ Jamal Murray has been doing great as of late. In the last game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, he led the way in the points category with 22 points.

He has been on a tear and will have a good opportunity against the Clippers as he will take on another former Denver Nuggets point guard.

Do not forget, Milos Teodosic was on the Nuggets before this past summer. The Clippers acquired him via the trade which landed Danilo Gallinari in the city of angels. Teodosic is finally getting his opportunity in Los Angeles where he is showcasing his potential and at an efficient clip.

Teodosic has come up big in a couple of key situations in the last two games against the Denver Nuggets, both of which, the Clippers won. A bad memory for all of us Nuggets fans.

However, Jamal Murray has been very hot as of late. He has been coming up clutch in must win games. In the game against the Timberwolves, he got Karl Anthony Towns to foul out in the fourth quarter after getting him to bite on a shot fake. Against the Milwaukee Bucks, he stole the ball to get fouled on a three point shot which netted him three free throws to tie the game up and take it into overtime.

Denver will have to run a good majority of the offense through the young and budding Jamal Murray in order to facilitate the offense. Especially if Nikola Jokic starts off rusty again like he did against the Timberwolves.

Murray cannot overlook Teodosic and vice versa. It will be an intriguing match up and could dictate which team will win.
