The Denver Nuggets will take on the Portland Trail Blazers. However, the match up to watch may not be what one expects.

The Denver Nuggets are in for another tough division rival game. They will welcome the Portland Trail Blazers in a game which could make or break the playoff hopes for this young core.

However, Denver has been on a great win streak which has seen them win five straight games. Five games which have saved the Nuggets post season fate.

With the possibility of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum resting, the match up to watch will be the battle of each teams’ role players. Players on the Nuggets like Mason Plumlee, Trey Lyles and Devin Harris will be vital.

Players on the Portland Trail Blazers like Maurice Harkless and Al-Farouq Aminu will be key for their efforts in the game in the Pepsi Center. If Coach Malone can execute his game plan effectively and make sure the players do not overlook anyone on the Trail Blazers’ roster.

These players are in the NBA for a reason and just because they are role players does not mean they cannot find ways to burn another NBA team.

This Trail Blazers team dislikes this Nuggets team and vice versa. They would love nothing more than to knock this division rival out of the Western Conference playoff picture.

The Nuggets are gunning for a fight and the role players will be looking to make a statement as they scrap and claw their way into the post season. This is an intriguing match up as the role players from both teams are extremely evenly matched.
