The Denver Nuggets trail the Minnesota Timberwolves by eight points at half time.

The Denver Nuggets are in hot water at half time with the Minnesota Timberwolves. They have allowed Karl Anthony Towns to shoot 80 percent from the field. However, they have got him into foul trouble before the second quarter ended.

Not to mention, Jimmy Butler has been torching them and the Nuggets seem to have no answer for either one of them. Nikola Jokic has been solid from a scoring perspective, but only has one assist so far. If the Denver Nuggets are going to make a comeback, they need the Joker to go back to the Nikola Jokic we all know and love.

Will Barton has been a roller coaster as he has hit some key shots, including from the three point line. However, he has also taken some questionable shots as well. We all know it is a double edged sword when it comes to Will Barton.

Gary Harris is coming off the bench for the second straight game and he has provided some valuable minutes. He has came away with some nice lay ups on the curl play. He has also been trying his best on the defensive end of the floor.

If the Nuggets want to come back, they are going to have to shore up the defensive side of the floor. They have been porous and the Timberwolves are taking advantage. Karl Anthony Towns has been killing them and Jeff Teague and Jimmy Butler seem to be unstoppable for the Nuggets’ back court. The help defense needs to be better and, while it is counter-intuitive, not be afraid to get called for a foul or two.

Minnesota has been more physical so far and it is working to their advantage. There is still one more half to play, so do not give up hope.
