The Denver Nuggets are one of the NBA’s best stories in terms of up and coming teams.

The Denver Nuggets are looking ahead to the future after the heart breaking loss which knocked them out of the post season. Despite the stinging end to the season, Denver fans should have plenty to look forward to in the coming years.

For the future, this team is just about to hit their stride. My bold prediction for the week may shock some people. I firmly  believe this team is being built for a championship in the future. As a result, I predict the Nuggets will actually make a NBA Finals appearance in the next five seasons.

A risky take, but it would not be a hot take if it was a safe prediction. Why am I so confident? Well, for one, the Warriors are not going to be able to keep their four stars together forever. Not to mention, the Spurs are getting older and the strange Kawhi Leonard situation is looming over them.

Portland still needs to find a legitimate third star to assist to Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. The Thunder are going to be battling to retain Paul George and the Timberwolves have a desperate cap situation as they will have to choose between Jimmy Butler and Karl Anthony Towns.

The one team who may pose a threat to Denver’s chance at a championship appearance is the Houston Rockets with how well they have been playing right now. However, with the way Nikola Jokic has been developing and the way Gary Harris and Jamal Murray have been growing, this team will be groomed to make a run at a championship in the near future.

The core is just going to get better and more young talent will be on it’s way, therefore, I think the Nuggets will make a Finals appearance sooner than later.
