The Denver Nuggets’ president of basketball operations, Tim Connelly, has a make or break off season ahead of him.

The Denver Nuggets have a bright future, but that does not mean their work is done constructing this squad. Nuggets president of basketball operations, Tim Connelly, will have a lot to do this summer.

From making a decision on Nikola Jokic’s future to Will Barton’s contract, Connelly has his work cut out for him. Not to mention, this draft will be crucial as the Nuggets still have a void at the wing position.

I know Wilson Chandler has his moments, but let’s be honest, he is not the answer at small forward. Anytime a NBA player logs over 40 minutes in a do or die game and does not get a single point, it is completely unacceptable.

This summer will be the off season which puts the Denver Nuggets over the hill in terms of finally making the post season. Yes, we have been saying this for the past years now. However, with Paul Millsap coming back healthy and some potential new personnel coming in, this squad will be scary next season.

That is, if Tim Connelly plays his hands right. If Connelly makes smart decisions, then the Nuggets are a sure fire contender for the playoffs next year. Even if they do part ways with Will Barton, they should be in fine shape.

A player like Trevor Ariza or Tyreke Evans would actually be somewhat of a home run for the Nuggets front office. Both players are underrated small forwards who could provide some defensive productivity at the three. Much more production than Wilson Chandler provided.
