Denver Nuggets: Free agent pitch, Jabari Parker

BOSTON, MA - APRIL 28: Jabari Parker
BOSTON, MA - APRIL 28: Jabari Parker

We delved into our free agent pitch for Carmelo Anthony last week. Now, let’s get realistic and let the Denver Nuggets have a shot at Jabari Parker.

The Denver Nuggets have a desperate need at the wing spot they need to address this summer. Luckily, they are entering a free agent market thriving with some talented small forwards this off season.

One player they should take a hard look at is the Milwaukee Bucks, Jabari Parker. Parker is finally coming into his own after a couple of injury riddled seasons. A sad story considering he was a top two prospect in his draft class along with the young Andrew Wiggins.

Parker would fit perfectly in the Nuggets’ offensive scheme. All the front office has to do is show him a Nikola Jokic highlight reel. I am kidding of course, sort of, but one should understand the point.

Parker should be ecstatic about playing with a play making big man like Nikola Jokic. He can create easy opportunities  from anywhere on the court. Whether it is close at the rim, from mid range or even from three point range.

Parker should also be intrigued by the young core of players on this Nuggets roster. A roster which happens to be tailor made for Jabari Parker to thrive.

Parker made some nice strides this past season, now that his injuries are hopefully behind him. Why not come to a team where you can have even more opportunities and help a team in the Western Conference eventually de-throne the Golden State Warriors.

The Nuggets may not have made the post season this year; However, they are poised for greatness in the very near future.

Jabari does have a nice set up in Milwaukee, but in Denver, he is perfect for their offensive system where they could use a nice, young wing presence.
