The Denver Nuggets’ fan base has gone through a lot of turmoil over the years and being a fan of this team is the hardest job in the NBA.

The Denver Nuggets have had their fair share of ups and downs in their fifty year history. While there is a plethora of feel good stories, they cannot help but be shadowed by the failures and lack of a NBA championship.

For the fans, supporting this team can get mentally exhausting. To missed draft picks all the way to getting to a couple of Western Conference Finals to be knocked out by the Los Angeles Lakers, no other fan base has had to go through as much struggles as Nuggets fans.

“But, Matt what about fans of teams like the Hawks, Hornets, Knicks and so on?” Well, first of all, these teams at least will have a high draft picks whereas the Nuggets will be stuck in the middle once again in the draft lottery. The worst place to be in in the NBA. Not bad enough to get a high pick, but not good enough to make the playoffs.

Not to mention, most of those teams have at least won a title at some point in their history. As a result, there fan base can smile when reminiscing about the historic glory days of their respective franchise.

Meanwhile, Denver fans have to keep telling themselves the future is bright for their current core. It is, but one still can’t help but feel the dark cloud which looms over this organization.
