On this pitch for the Denver Nuggets, we will be making an offer to the Spurs’, Danny Green.

The Denver Nuggets could actually make great use of Danny Green. Of course, we will be assuming he will opt out of his current contract with the Spurs this summer for this article.

Danny Green has seen his role somewhat reduced in recent years within the terrific Gregg Popovich offensive scheme. While it would be difficult for any player to leave Pop, the appeal of a change of scenery can get to any player, even ones who have became key staples in the Spurs squad.

So, what exactly does Denver have to offer the underrated two way bench player. For starters, Green would have an increased role in the Mile High.

He would still possibly come off the bench, but the Nuggets would call a lot more plays for him than what he is receiving in San Antonio. Denver is already an offensive juggernaut, so they would be counting on Danny Green to help fix many of their defensive woes.

While this does sound like a lot of pressure for one player, it could also make him feel needed which would make him more intrigued to change teams. Danny Green is a player who I could see feeling this way. Think about it, the Spurs already have many young players they are grooming for the future. Players who look like they may shove Green out of the rotation.

Why not get out before it actually happens and come to one of the premier up and coming teams young in the entire NBA? Not to mention, he would have a nice young core to to play with as a steadying veteran presence.

It will be hard to lure Danny Green away from the Spurs, but the Denver Nuggets have a lot to offer the small forward.
