The Denver Nuggets’ offensive scheme is one of the most productive in the league.

While the Denver Nuggets did not make the post season, their offense was a thing to behold this season. As a matter of fact, it was on par with the Cleveland Cavaliers offense in terms of efficiency.

According to teamrankings, the Denver Nuggets had the sixth best offense in terms of offensive efficiency this season. Keep in mind, they were trying to fit in new pieces such as Paul Millsap and letting Wilson Chandler have the freedom to start at the wing spot with the departure of Danilo Gallinari. Very impressive considering these factors.

The fact of the matter is, their offense is still one of the funnest in the league to watch. With Nikola Jokic leading the way as the facilitator, Denver’s surrounding players are able to thrive and create a ton of productivity which can help alleviate some of their woes on defense.

Players such as Gary Harris, Jamal Murray and even Paul Millsap can make this high powered when their shots are fallen. Even the bench is productive for the Nuggets.

What makes the machine go is the shot selection. When the defense is focused on Nikola Jokic, it allows the other players to cut for easy baskets at the rim and/or allow wide open opportunities at the three point line.

The Nuggets ranked fifth in floor percentage this year with a total of 50.3%. Denver also ranked fifth in average points per game with an extremely high total of 110. Only Toronto, New Orleans, Houston and Golden State scored more points per game than Denver this season.

The Nuggets did not make the playoffs, but with the way their offense flowed this season, it is only a matter of time before they make a post season appearance.
