Here we are Denver Nuggets fans, the dreaded off-season for the team. To start it off, I thought it would be nice to preview a draft pick idea, Mikal Bridges.
If there was a perfect world for Denver Nuggets fans, it starts with drafting Mikal Bridges. I’m all on in on this guy, not just because of the standout career he had at Villanova, or even his talent itself.
It’s because of the situation he would be brought into. The Nuggets are in desperate need for a good three, considering Will Barton filled the role a lot last year. In case you weren’t aware, Barton is a shooting guard.
In his final season out of three, Bridges averaged almost 18 points and five rebounds with a three-point percentage around 43%. (Per sports-reference) if that isn’t what the Nuggets should want or need, then I need to be explained to what they do need. He also averaged over a steal and block per game, showing that he has a good footing on defense as well.
Many fans may say that Denver needs to draft defense first. To me, if you can get a balanced guy like Bridges, you’re doing your franchise a favor. An experienced guy who could fit in with a guy like Nikola Jokic would be a pretty good deal.

I’m extremely excited for Bridges’ future wherever he goes, and it should be a fun career to watch. Like I said, I’m all in on Mikal Bridges. I can only hope that he can find his way to the Mile High City.
