This off season will be one of the most interesting free agencies in recent memory and the Denver Nuggets will be looking to make a splash.

With that in mind, the Denver Nuggets are looking to upgrade their small forward spot. While they will most likely use their draft pick to get a new wing, one cannot help but wonder how dangerous the Nuggets would be if LeBron James took his talents to the Mile High.

However, I will be discussing why the Nuggets deserve the King more so than one of the prime hot spots for landing the best player on the earth right now. The Philadelphia 76ers seem to be a prime candidate for getting LeBron next year, but do they really deserve him?

They have constructed a great core which is similar to what the Nuggets have done. However, Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons have already proven they can get the job done without LeBron. They are only going to get better.

Not to mention, the 76ers already have a couple titles in their history. The Nuggets, on the other hand, have not gotten a title. LeBron has made part of his legacy as part of getting the Cavaliers their first NBA Championship. If LeBron is to really improve his legacy, then coming to Denver to help them get their first title would look a lot better on his resume than helping the 76ers add to their titles.

The Nuggets and their fan base have been more than patient in the past years. Our fan base deserves a franchise changing player to play alongside the crafty, Nikola Jokic.

The 76ers will be getting further and further into the playoffs in the years to come. The Nuggets are also a great core and once again, our franchise deserves him more than Philadelphia.

LeBron won’t come to Denver this summer, but it is worth pointing out we should be a good destination for him.
