With the NBA Draft approaching for the Denver Nuggets, why don’t we take a quick look at the Kentucky forward, Kevin Knox?

The Denver Nuggets will be expected to probably take a small forward with their first pick in the draft this year. While Knox can play both of the forward positions, he matches the identity of a player they’ll be looking for.

He’s a sweet-shooting guy, who knows how to play up to his competition as well. Knox had a 44 percent field goal percentage in his lone season. That includes a respectable 34 percent three-point percentage. These percentages helped him averaged over 15 points per game and he also grabbed over five boards per game.

Knox is a bigger small forward as well, capable of defending the bigger players that could come in the NBA. He stands at 6’9, and with Wilson Chandler hitting free agency in 2019, Knox would be in a great position to play in the Mile High City for a long time.

Not to mention, the Denver Nuggets seem to like their Wildcats, as they have acquired two of them in the past two years. The front office must love what John Calipari does for the young guns. Granted, one was through a draft night trade. However, they have collected both Jamal Murray, whom many are calling the player of the future for the Nuggets, and Trey Lyles, a solid bench player for them.

To me, as long as Miles Bridges or Mikal Bridges are off the board at the 14th pick, Kevin Knox is the obvious pick to me for this Nuggets team. It’s just a matter of hoping he’s still there by that time.
