Denver Nuggets: All NBA voting shows anti Nuggets bias

DENVER, CO - FEBRUARY 1: Nikola Jokic

The Denver Nuggets did not get Nikola Jokic on the All NBA Teams or Gary Harris on the All Defensive Teams. This shows clear anti Nuggets bias on the voters part.

The Denver Nuggets’, Nikola Jokic and Gary Harris, were not given their due respect. This was made evident after this past week when the All NBA and All Defensive Teams were announced.

Gary Harris not being listed on one of the Defensive Teams is somewhat understandable, but Jokic not making the All NBA Teams was just a slap in the face to Nuggets Nation. Nikola Jokic should have made at least the All NBA Third Team, but did not unfortunately.

With both Gary Harris and Nikola Jokic being snubbed, it is clear there is a subtle type of hate going around against the Denver Nuggets organization. To be fair, Gary Harris and Nikola Jokic did receive a fair share of votes.

However, some of the players who made these lists ahead of them were head scratchers. And frankly, did not deserve the selection like Harris and Jokic did. The voters of these lists have a clear vendetta against the Nuggets. It seems it would take Denver winning a championship and then the World Series somehow before they get any type of respect.

Something needs to be done because this is getting ridiculous. There was no reason for Nikola Jokic to be left off all three All NBA lists. Gary Harris being snubbed from the defensive teams does not help the voter’s arguments either.

Yes, the Nuggets failed to make the post season this season, but that still does not make a good argument for keeping deserving players off of these lists.
