On this week’s Huff’s hot take, I will be predicting a big season for the Denver Nuggets power forward, Paul Millsap.
The Denver Nuggets did not get a good chance to see how effective Paul Millsap would be in their scheme this past season. Due to a wrist injury, Millsap was sidelined for 75% of the year.
However, next season should be a different story. I am already on the record for saying Millsap will have a bounce back year next season. However, I did not say to what extent.
I am willing to go as far as him getting an All Star selection in the 2019 season. If it hadn’t been for the injury, Millsap would have developed great chemistry with Nikola Jokic forming possibly the second best front court in the entire NBA.
Millsap is not a four time All Star for nothing. He provides grit on defense and is a versatile scorer on the offensive end. Not to mention, he is an underrated passer as well.
I do personally believe Nikola Jokic will get his first All Star selection next year. But, there will be more than one Denver Nuggets player who travels to All Star Weekend. The other one being Paul Millsap.
Not necessarily as a starter, but a bench player for the Western Conference All Stars at the very least. Do not forget, the bench players for All Star Weekend are not voted on, they are chosen by the head coaches from around the league. That is, if the NBA does not change the format.
Millsap is bound to surprise some fans next year and show why the Nuggets front office thought he was worth a max contract.

As a result, I predict he will get back to form next season and make his fifth career All Star team.
