The Denver Nuggets are beginning to host their pre-draft workouts, and for today’s prospect analysis, I present Miles Bridges.
Bridges was a guy that at the beginning of this season, I expected to be a top-three pick coming out of Michigan State. However, due to the emergence of some other fantastic players and a bit of a struggle at times for him, many mocks have him going mid-first round.
Bridges is an athletic player who has some draft experts confused. Is he going to be the superstar that many expected him to be at the beginning of the season? Or is he going to be the guy that is an average player at best?
To me, I hope that it is not the latter, because I’ve been impressed with him time and time again. I mean, considering how Gary Harris has worked out, shouldn’t all Nuggets fans be hoping for Sparty? Bridges is a guy who can get it done in every facet, from three to athletic plays, and even to the defensive side of the ball.
He averaged 17 points, almost eight rebounds, and over a block per game in his two-year stint, according to SR. Miles also shot 47 percent from the field, with a respectable 37 percent from deep. Personally, I believe that Bridges is one of the better players in this draft, especially for the value if the Nuggets could get him at 14.
In my opinion, the Nuggets need to make a move for one of the Bridges, Mikal or Miles. My reasoning behind this is simple. The Nuggets are a small forward away from contending at least a little bit in the West. Wilson Chandler is horribly inconsistent, and Torrey Craig may be a nice find but we don’t know what he has in the tank. Will Barton is too small to be playing the three as well, and they don’t really have the cap to chase a forward in free agency.

Enter Miles Bridges into that equation. If he turns out to be anything like many are hoping he is, then that’s a deadly situation brewing in Denver.
