The Denver Nuggets have been trying to off load Kenneth Faried’s contract for quite a while.

The Denver Nuggets have been stone walled when it comes to trading Kenneth Faried. I am on the record for saying I want him to get traded, but not because I want him off the team. I simply want him to go somewhere where he will get the playing time he deserves rather than be buried on the Denver bench.

However, we all know the reason the Nuggets have not been able to trade the energetic power forward. That would be his enormous contract.

The contract has been one of many things handicapping the Denver Nuggets from giving Nikola Jokic a max contract before he hits the free agent market. Getting another NBA team to take on this hefty contract is a challenge in of itself.

So, this begs the question of is any team going to take Kenneth Faried’s contract off Denver’s hands? In my opinion, the answer is yes.

Faried could be a key X factor on a few NBA teams who desperately need an energy guy who can crash the glass at a high clip. Even if it means taking on a big contract in order to get the team over the hump.

A team like the Boston Celtics could easily find a place for the Manimal on their second unit. It won’t be easy, but the Denver Nuggets can eventually find a good place for Kenneth Faried to thrive once again like he did about four or five years ago in a Nuggets jersey.

The Nuggets have the NBA Draft coming up. With this in mind, they need to be looking at potential suitors for their veteran power forward now.

Otherwise, their financial situation will continue to be strained. A situation which needs to be remedied sooner than later.
