The Denver Nuggets were able to get the steal of the draft at the 14th overall pick.

The Denver Nuggets selected Michael Porter Jr. with the 14th overall pick in the NBA Draft. This is a high risk, but high reward pick.

While his back problems are certainly a concern, thus why he fell so far down in the lottery, it was too much potential for Denver to pass up on. Porter Jr. will be able to fill the void at the three spot and blend in extremely well with the young core the Denver Nuggets possess.

He may have only played three games at Missouri this past season, however, many mock drafts had him going as high as the second overall pick in this year’s draft. If he were to have gone into the NBA last season, there is a great chance he would have the second or even the first overall pick given his sky high ceiling.

So, how is he the steal of the draft?

Without further adieu, let’s delve into why the Denver Nuggets hit a home run with this young and talented youngster.
