Denver Nuggets: Five reasons they got the steal of the draft in Michael Porter Jr.
By Mathew Huff
Sky high potential.
As alluded to in the intro slide, Porter Jr. has potentially the highest ceiling out of all the prospects in the entire NBA Draft.
This pick was one the Nuggets’ front office could simply not pass up due to what type of production they could get provided he pans out (and I think he will in my opinion.)
Not saying he is going to be this good, but with the injury situation, it may be worth waiting due to the success the 76ers have had by being patient with Joel Embiid.
His ceiling is so high. He could possibly be the player Denver needed in the game against the Minnesota Timberwolves in order to will the organization to their first post season appearance in years.
It is a high risk high reward situation, but the Nuggets made the right decision in this instance.
