The Denver Nuggets haven’t had an effective “point guard” since the 2014-15 NBA season when Ty Lawson led the team in scoring and dished out 9.6 assists per game.

Since then, Emmanuel Mudiay, Jameer Nelson, and Jamal Murray have tried to hold down the position with little to no success.

None of them averaged more than 5.5 assists per game, and the only person to break 6 assists per game since Lawson left the team is center Nikola Jokic.

The Nuggets need a true floor manager to bring the ball down the court and take some pressure off of Jokic to create plays and see movement. Trevon Duval could be that guy for the Nuggets, and he would provide several other bonuses beneficial to the team.

So without further adieu, let’s see what he brings to the table.
