Nikola Jokic

The Nuggets also reportedly re-signed the best player the organization has seen since Carmelo Anthony. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Nikola Jokic would sign a 5 year, $148 million max contract shortly after midnight.

This is widely what analysts and Nuggets fans have assumed would happen ever since his breakout season last year. In case you have been hiding under a rock for the past two seasons and don’t think Jokic deserves a max deal, let me show you the stats.

He averaged 18.5 points per game, 10.7 rebounds per game, and 6.1 assists on just 32.6 minutes per game. Not impressed yet?

He’s the only player in the entire history of the NBA to put up those numbers while playing under 34 minutes a game. He is one of the best passing big men the league has ever seen, he can shoot the 3 effectively, and luckily for Denver fans, he will be in a Nuggets uniform for a long time to come.
