Denver Nuggets

That opens the door for the Nuggets. They have rising young talent, veteran players still capable of playing, and Nikola Jokic. If they had the cap room, they would likely be near the top of the list of suitors for LeBron. However, they don’t. Thanks to the horrific deals handed out to Kenneth Faried, Mason Plumlee, Wilson Chandler, and Darrell Arthur, as well as extensions to Barton and Jokic, the Nuggets are in a deep hole.

They will have to trade all of their bad contracts to even get a sniff of James and even then, they would likely be very depleted of future draft picks and young players. However, they would join the ranks of the West’s elite and could contend for titles for years to come.

A starting lineup of Jamal Murray, Gary Harris, LeBron James, Paul Millsap, and Nikola Jokic could rival even the Warriors super team. That is three young stars who haven’t even hit their prime yet, a veteran All-Star who excels at defending, one of the best sixth men in the league off the bench, not to mention possibly the greatest player of all time. I just got shivers.
