Passing

Both of these point guards are regarded as accomplished and capable passers, both averaging over 5.0 assists per game for their careers, as well as averaging over 7.0 assists per game in at least two different seasons.

Lever has an advantage in both of those statistics, however, averaging 0.8 more assists per game throughout his career than Billups, as well as passing for 7+ APG in 5 different seasons. Billups accomplished that feat in just 2 different seasons.

Fat also possesses an assist percentage of 28.0% in Denver, 2.4% higher than Chauncey’s mark of 25.6%. Lever also has a Nuggets career assist-to-turnover ratio of 3.26, higher than Billups’ 2.95.

No matter what stat you look at, Lever has the higher assist rate while averaging fewer turnovers. That means that(statistically) he is undoubtedly the better passer.
